Contemporary Berkshires at Kolok Gallery

With an opening reception on Saturday, October 13th, from 3-5pm, Kolok Gallery’s “Contemporary Berkshires” exhibition gives viewers a multi-faceted perspective into the growing contemporary art scene in Berkshire County. Included in the exhibition are artists Laura Christensen, Joshua Field, Brandon Graving, Melissa Lillie, Laurie McLeod, Debi Pendell, Colleen Quinn, Gregory Scheckler, and Karin Stack.This final exhibition of the 2007 season brings together a broad range of visual aesthetics, media and techniques, demonstrating the creative diversity to be found in the Berkshires.

The loss of a dear friend

Tragedy struck early in the morning of September 3rd when a dear friend was killed by a drunk driver who was going the wrong way on a Staten Island freeway. Nothing could have prepared me for the incredible loss and profound sadness that have dictated my world the last month. Joe would have turned 40 this fall and was so incredibly vibrant that it is impossible to imagine him gone. He will be terribly missed.
